Mr Rathumbu is the Head of the Department for Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism. He has over 25-years’ experience in the public service and has accumulated this experience in amongst others: international economic diplomacy, industrial development, economic planning and development, monitoring and evaluation, enterprise development, governance, and oversight.
He also served in the boards of Limpopo Province’s development financial institutions such as Limpopo Economic Development Agency, Limpopo Gambling Board and Musina-Makhado Special Economic Zone.
Furthermore, Mr Rathumbu managed to represent South Africa on various international committees such as the SADC Committee on Central Banks, Committee on the Development Finance Institutions and the Committee drafting the Finance and Investment Protocol.
