  • We Need To Protect Our Threatened and Endangered Species

    Limpopo province is rich in natural biodiversity and, most of the animals and plant species are present and protected in private nature reserves and provincial parks in the province. When environmental crime takes place, it robs the environment of ecological sustainability but also inflicts financial losses to private owners of land and the state. The health and well being of people are also affected, and the protection of the environment is severely compromised due to criminal elements that make a living out of poaching animals.

  • Limpopo Tourists Guides Learn Spanish Culture & Language

    The South African government in partnership with the Spanish government in 2006 launched a programme that involves teaching Tourist Guides Spanish in order for them to be able to communicate with Spanish tourists. Theta (The Tourism, Hospitality, Sport Education & Training Authority) was the institution tasked with the facilitation of the programme in partnership with the Spanish University UIMP (Universidad Intenacional Menendez Pelayo).     The three-day Marula festival which began in 2005 is one of the biggest events on the Limpopo events calendar. The Marula festival, which is to take place at the Impala Park Rugby Stadium in Phalaborwa, opens its doors on Thursday, 26 February 2009 at 10h00.
